Introduction

This Refund and Cancellation Policy explains how Zach Transport (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles cancellations, rescheduling, and refunds for our moving services, including local, city-to-city, and state-to-state moves. By booking a move with us, you agree to the terms outlined in this policy.

Booking and Deposits

Some moves may require a deposit to secure your moving date and time. The amount and terms of the deposit will be shared with you in your quote or booking confirmation.

Deposits help us reserve our crew, trucks, and schedule for your move. In general, deposits may be non-refundable if you cancel close to your scheduled move date. However, in some cases we may offer a partial or full refund of the deposit, at our discretion, depending on the timing and circumstances of the cancellation or change.

Cancellations

We understand that plans can change. If you need to cancel your move, please notify us as early as possible.

  • Cancellations made within a reasonable notice period before the scheduled move (as stated in your quote or confirmation) may be eligible for a full or partial refund of any deposit paid.
  • Cancellations made after that timeframe, or very close to the scheduled move date, may result in a partial refund or no refund of the deposit, depending on the situation and any costs already incurred.
  • If our crew has already been dispatched or has arrived at the pickup location, additional cancellation fees may apply to cover travel time, labor, and other expenses.

Rescheduling

If you need to reschedule your move, please contact us as soon as you can.

  • Rescheduling is subject to our availability on your new preferred date and time.
  • When you provide reasonable advance notice, we will do our best to move your booking without additional fees.
  • Rescheduling with short notice may result in a change fee or loss of part of your deposit, depending on the timing and impact on our schedule.

Refund Policy

We aim to be fair and transparent when reviewing refund requests.

  • Refunds are evaluated on a case-by-case basis, taking into account the timing of your request, the work already completed, and any costs we have incurred in preparing for or performing your move.
  • Deposits may be partially or fully refunded when cancellations or rescheduling requests are made within the agreed notice period stated in your quote or confirmation.
  • Once moving services have been completed, including loading, transport, and/or unloading, those services are generally non-refundable.

No-Show Policy

If our crew arrives at the scheduled time and location and you, or your authorized contact, are not available, this may be treated as a no-show.

  • In a no-show situation, we may charge a no-show fee and/or retain your deposit to cover our time, travel, and scheduling costs.
  • If you anticipate being late or delayed, please contact us as soon as possible so we can try to adjust and avoid additional fees where possible.

Service Issues

Your satisfaction is important to us. If you experience any issue with our service, please contact us promptly so we can review and address it.

  • Reach out as soon as possible after your move to report any concerns.
  • We may ask for details, photos, or other information to help us understand and investigate the issue.
  • Where appropriate, we may offer solutions such as a partial refund, service credit, or other reasonable resolution, at our discretion and in line with applicable laws.

Delays and Unforeseen Circumstances

We work hard to arrive on time and complete your move as scheduled. However, certain conditions are outside of our control.

  • Traffic, road closures, accidents, weather, mechanical issues, or other unforeseen events may cause delays or schedule changes.
  • These types of delays do not automatically qualify for a refund.
  • If a significant delay occurs, we will communicate with you and work to complete your move as soon as reasonably possible or discuss alternative arrangements if needed.
